On this tour of Cárdenas, you'll experience the tradition of Cuba, immerse yourself in Cuban culture, and learn about two of the country's most typical products: rum and cigars!

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of Bar Happy, located at Calle 25 in Cárdenas. Once there, we'll take a pleasant stroll through the old town of the city and visit the masterpiece of a unique Cuban artist on Gastón Street. Here, we'll uncover Cuba's religious links as we visit an open-air gallery full of sculptures and pictures.

After this interesting visit, we'll explore the streets of Cardenas in search of a guarapo and a coffee. We'll admire the colourful houses and visit the famous statue of Christopher Columbus and the Hotel la Dominica, where we'll try some rum.

Next, we'll take a charming horse-drawn carriage ride through Cardenas' streets to Happy Bar. There, we'll participate in a Cuban cooking class, where we'll learn how to make a traditional lunch. You'll also be shown how to make Cuban cocktails and as we wait to try our dishes, we'll play dominoes.

During the tasting, you'll also discover 3 types of Cuban rums, differentiating their colors, aromas, and particularities, as well as the history behind them. We'll also learn about the cigar production process and learn how to taste them with one of the most famous bartenders in the area. We'll also try a chocolate liquor before finishing with a delicious full-bodied coffee.

Finally, we'll give you a diploma of participation and return to the meeting point, where we'll say goodbye after 5 hours.
