La Malinche National Park Trek
Explore the magnificent La Malinche National Park, get in touch with nature and enjoy breathtaking views on this hike to the top of a volcano.
La Malinche National Park Trek
At 6 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cholula and set off to the state of Tlaxcala to the La Malinche National Park and set off on a 10-hour hiking route.
We'll head into the park and arrive at a hostel located 3100 metres above water level, where we'll start the hike. Ready? We'll climb up the mountainside through forests of oyamel, conifers and pine trees, heading up slopes of up to 45 degrees!
Then we'll make a stop in an area called Los Arenales, where we can rest and enjoy the views. From there, we'll have a much closer look at the summit of La Malinche volcano.
Last stretch! We'll climb up to 4461 metres and, if the weather is good, we'll have the chance to see the chain of volcanoes: Citlaltépetl, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl - it's like something out of a movie!
Lastly, we'll head back down to the hostel to get into the vehicles and return to Cholula. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for 7 pm.
