Colombo Guided Tour
This guided tour of Colombo will begin by meeting at 8 am in front of the Dutch Hospital, a former Dutch health center that is now home to numerous stores and restaurants.
From there, we'll head first to Galle Face Green Beach Park for a stroll along the only public beach in the capital of Sri Lanka. Next, we'll cross the harbor area and walk along York Street. The centuries-old buildings of this area stand out for their beautiful architecture from the British colonial era.
We'll continue our walk through the Fort area, the central district of Colombo, until we reach the President's House. After awing at its luxurious all-white facade, the tour will head to St. Peter's Church and the Jami Ul-Alfar, the famous red mosque of the capital of the former Ceylon.
In addition to Catholic and Muslim temples, Colombo is also home to many other religious places of worship. One of the most noteworthy is the Sri Muthu Mariamman, better known as the Hindu Temple. The colorful facade is one of the most photographed places in the city and is sure to surprise you!
We'll then take a walk around Beira Lake and, finally, between 10:30 and 11 am we'll conclude the guided tour in the historic center of Colombo.
