Jesuit Block and Estancias of Cordoba Tour

We'll collect you from your hotel in Cordoba at 9 am to start our tour of the emblematic Society of Jesus buildings. Did you know that the Jesuit Block and Estancias of Cordoba have been named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this tour, you'll discover their great cultural value and their relation with the history of Argentina.

Our first stop will be the city of Colonia Caroya and visit the Estancia Caroya Museum. Here, we'll visit the rooms of this mansion which housed the monks in the 17th century. Interestingly, this was the first estancia of the Jesuits in the area.

Afterwards, we'll head to our next destination: the Jesús María Estancia, where the Jesuit Estancia de San Isidro el Labrador is located. This stone building will allow us to find out all about the history of the religious people that lived here, plus we'll discover the mills and land that the Jesuits used to make wine.

We'll travel for another 30 minutes before reaching the Santa Catalina Estancia, founded in 1622. With its white façade framed by two towers, and located in beautiful natural surroundings, this building is sure to make an impression! Here, we'll continue discovering about the Society of Jesus' way of life, plus we'll admire a Baroque-style historical church.

After some free time so you can get some lunch, we'll make our way back to Cordoba, passing through beautiful towns such as Ascochinga, La Granja or Villa Animi on the way. We'll drop you off at your hotels at around 7 pm.
