At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Dambulla and head to Pidurangala, our first stop of the day. Our journey should only take 30 minutes.
When we arrive in Pidurangala, we’ll explore the monastery with a statue of a reclining Buddha that lies at the foot of the mountain. Afterwards, we’ll start walking towards Pidurangala Rock. From this extraordinary spot, you’ll see incredible views of Sigiriya and the popular Lion Rock.
After enjoying the views and the peacefulness of Pidurangala Rock, we’ll go to an area full of restaurants where you’ll have some free time for lunch.
With our energy back, we’ll head to the village of Hiriwadunna, where we’ll have a truly authentic experience. We’ll travel through the rice paddies in an ox-drawn cart and take a boat ride on the beautiful lake.
We’ll then take you back to your hotel in Dambulla, where we’ll arrive at 5 pm.
