In this tour around the bay of Fangar we'll explore the characteristic places of the north of the mouth of the Ebro. We'll see rice fields, mussel beds and the most picturesque fishing ports.
Fangar Bay Tour
At the appointed time, we'll meet at Carrer Magallanes in Deltebre. There we'll board a minibus that will take us through the bay of Fangar, located in the Natural Park of the Ebro Delta.
We'll enter the delta towards the fishing port of Illa de Mar, where we'll make a stop to enjoy a unique panoramic view in which we'll be able to see the green filter lagoon, the village of l'Ampolla, the mussel farms and the lighthouse of the Fangar peninsula.
We'll walk around the port to see the traditional boats and learn about the cultivation of mussels and oysters. But that's not all, we'll grab our binoculars to spot the native birds and, hopefully, the elegant flamingos.
Afterwards, we'll go to the exact point where the Ebro flows into the Mediterranean sea, an unusual area with extraordinary natural and scenic wealth.
Next, we'll go up to the Zigurat viewpoint, from where there are amazing views of the island of San Antonio, the Garxal lagoon, the island of Buda and the rice fields. Your camera will be full of photos!
After a three-hour tour of the bay of Fangar, we will end the activity at the starting point.
