Cagliero Glacier Trek
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in El Chaltén before departing for Los Huemules Reserve, located around 10 miles (16 km) away.
We will enter Los Glaciares National Park and then begin our fantastic trek. The first leg will take us through idyllic forest and reward us with breathtaking views of the Fitz Roy mountain which rises up more than 11,000 feet. This stage concludes at Laguna del Diablo (The Devil's Lagoon), where we get equipped in harness and helmet ready to climb up the via Ferrata route.
After scaling the steep mountain slopes, your effort will be rewarded when we arrive at the Vivac Cagliero base camp. There we will put on our crampons and set off on a two-hour hike along the magnificent glacier.
After the incredible experience of walking on the ice, we will follow the same route back to Los Huemules where you will have time to have something to eat (not included). Then we will take you back to your hotel in El Chaltén, where we'll arrive after a total of 10 hours.
Pickup Info
This activity includes pick up at the indicated time from hotels in the centre of El Chaltén. If you're staying in more remote areas, we will pick you up at 56 San Martín Avenue.
Not-Included Tickets
This activity does not include admission to the northern area of Los Glaciares National Park in El Chaltén. On your voucher, we'll provide you with instructions on how to purchase these tickets.
