La Bufadora Kayak Tour
Tour Details
We’ll meet at the pedestrian bridge of the Ensenada cruise port. There, we’ll board a vehicle that will take us to La Bufadora, on the Punta Banda peninsula. Let’s go!
After a 1-hour drive, we’ll arrive at the point where the kayaks used for the activity are located, specially designed for open-sea navigation. Before entering the water, we’ll attend a brief technical safety talk, where we’ll learn the basic paddling maneuvers, steering control, and positioning in the water.
Without further delay, we’ll begin a kayak tour lasting between 1 and 1.5 hours, gliding across the Mexican Pacific as we approach La Bufadora, the largest marine geyser in the Pacific and 1 of the largest in the world.
From the water, we’ll be able to closely observe the rock formation where this phenomenon occurs. Its operation is caused by a marine chimney connected to an underwater cave. When the waves crash with force, the compressed air and water are expelled vertically, creating a powerful jet that rises over 20 m (66 ft) high.
We’ll observe the phenomenon at sea level, listening to the roar of the water as it shoots between the rocks and feeling the energy of the waves up close. A truly unique experience!
When hunger strikes, we’ll return to dry land and, optionally, you can enjoy a lunch featuring lobster, oysters, or ceviche, depending on the catch of the day. We’ll also offer you a craft beer to accompany it.
Finally, after a total of 4 hours of experience, we’ll begin the return journey to the original meeting point. See you next time!
