Tour the Argentinian and Brazilian sides of the Iguaçu Falls on this day trip from Foz do Iguaçu, where we'll visit the best viewpoints of this natural park.
Would you like to see the Iguaçu Falls in their entirety? If so, at the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Foz de Iguaçu. Once we're ready, we'll begin our journey to the Argentinian side of the impressive waterfalls.
Upon arrival and after passing through the immigration formalities, we'll set out on the upper trail, a footbridge over the Iguaçu River that will allow us to observe the falls from above. Along this stretch, we'll have ample views of the waterfalls and the endless green that surrounds them. Camera at the ready? You'll definitely want to capture the magnitude of the overwhelming landscape.
After this first part, we'll head back down to the base of the waterfalls. Here, we'll feel the force of the water, and we might even get wet from the breeze that rises from the precipitation. Next, we'll then board the ecological train and ride through the park to the last station.
After the train ride, we'll take just over a 1-kilomtre-long (0.6-mile) walk to the viewpoint of the tallest waterfall in the Argentinian park of the Iguaçu Falls.
When we start feeling peckish, we'll give you free time to enjoy lunch in the park's “La Selva” restaurant. Next, feeling refuelled, we'll get back on the vehicle to head to the border and cross over to the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu Falls. From this side, we'll have panoramic views from another angle as we take about a 2.5-hour hike along the natural path.
At the end of our hike, we'll hop onto the park's bus to reach the Trilha das Cataratas station, where we'll head out on a second walking route to the main viewpoint. As if this weren't enough, we'll go up the panoramic lift to put the perfect finishing touch to the tour of the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls.
If you're up for it and you still have some energy, you'll have the option to take an off-roading tour and a boat ride on the Lajeado Macuco River. If you choose not to take part in these activities, you'll have between 2 and 4 hours of free time to explore the park at your leisure—you'll love it!
Finally, we'll make our way back to the hotel, stopping at the visitor centre where you can get yourself a snack or a drink. We'll say goodbye after a total of 11 hours.
Due to the Iguazú National Park regulations, Brazilian or Paraguayan guides are not permitted to accompany Argentine passengers during the tour. In these cases, you must hire a local guide, take the tour without a guide, or not book this activity.
