The Cathédrale Saint-Léonce de Fréjus, better known as Fréjus Cathedral, dates back to the 5th century. Declared a Historical Monument in 1862, the church stands out not only for the artistry of its naves but also for its beautiful two-story cloister.

Opening Times

The cloister of Fréjus Cathedral is open during the following hours:

  • September 1 to April 27: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm
  • April 28 to August 31: 10 am to 6 pm
  • Special dates (December 24 and 31): 10 am to 4 pm

Final admission is 30 minutes before closing time. The cloister is also closed on Mondays from October to April and on the following public holidays: January 1, May 1, November 1, November  11, and December 25. However, these times are flexible and may be subject to change.

Free Admission

Admission to the cloister of Fréjus Cathedral is free for the following people:

  • Young people from the European Union between 18 and 25 years old.
  • Minors under 18 years old, regardless of nationality.
  • Unemployed people, people with disabilities and one companion, journalists, architecture students, tourism professionals, military personnel, police officers, and other members of state security forces.

Admission is also free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and May 31, and between November 1 and December 31, as well as the third weekend of September.

For the free admissions mentioned above, you must go to the monument's ticket office with an accredited document that proves your eligibility for free entry.
