Your arts and crafts tour will begin at the Houses of Goa Museum, a fascinating spot that is little known by tourists. Designed by architect Gerard da Cunha, the exhibitions allow you to admire the diverse architecture of Goa's typical houses, which, as your guide will explain, showcase the fusion of styles characterised by the area's Portuguese heritage.
Visit one of Goa's most well-known art galleries, the Mario Gallery. You'll explore a completely different side of its cultural life, seeing the contemporary art and cartoons of Goan artist Mario de Miranda on display there.
Next, stroll along the banks of the Torda Lake as you hear all about the latest trends in the region, as well as chatting to locals about Indian traditions and how these are incorporated into art.
Having visited these key Goan cultural sites, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea while your guide explains how different arts and crafts are created here. A unique experience for those wishing to delve deep into the heart of Goa.
