Guadalajara & Tlaquepaque Tour

Excellent tour of Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque carried out by the local supplier. Special mention for Mr. Ramón, a very professional guide, always attentive to solve and clarify our questions. With Mr. Ramón and we also did the tour to Tequila, both highly recommended.

Guadalajara & Tlaquepaque Tour

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel and begin a panoramic tour of Guadalajara. We'll see some of the most emblematic points of the capital of the state of Jalisco!

First, we'll stop at the La Minerva roundabout, where there's a sculpture in honor of the Roman goddess Minerva that has become a symbol of the city. Nearby, we'll see the Arcos de Guadalajara (Arches of Guadalajara), the ancient access gates to the capital.

We'll continue the tour by heading to Avenida de Chapultepec, the main street of Guadalajara. On this road, we'll find the remains of an ancient aqueduct as we make our way to Calle Libertad, one of the most traditional areas of the city. Here, we'll see the typical architecture of the 19th century.

Next, we'll visit the Expiatory Temple of the Blessed Sacrament, the most important work of Gothic style in Mexico. Then, we'll stroll through the most emblematic streets of the historic center of Guadalajara. We'll see the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Santos Degollado Theater, the Cabañas Cultural Institute, and Plaza Liberación.

Then, we'll go to the nearby town of Tlaquepaque, where we'll leave you 1.5 hours of free time to have lunch and admire the cobblestone streets and colonial architecture of the town. You can take the opportunity to visit the 17th-century Church of San Pedro or visit one of the many handicraft stores.

Before returning to Guadalajara, we'll visit a traditional sweets store to taste the local delicacies. Yum! Finally, we'll finish the excursion by dropping you back off at your hotel in Guadalajara 7-8 hours after initial pickup.
