The Hamburg Hop-On Hop-Off bus offers visitors one route and 15 stops at the main tourist attractions of the city. The best part of this tour is that you can decide where to get off and back on, meaning you can combine visiting Hamburg by foot and discovering it from the bus's open-top deck.
If you wish to sit back and enjoy the whole tour, the bus route takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The bus will drive past iconic sights like Hamburg City Hall, an imposing white-colored building with a showy blueish-greenish roof. You can also get off at Speicherstadt, a charming neighborhood, believed to be the world’s largest warehouse district, full of interesting anecdotes you will learn about during the tour.

How does it work?
Once you’ve reserved the Hamburg sightseeing bus, you will be sent a voucher which is valid for up to a year. When you activate your ticket, you can climb on and off throughout the day or until 4:45pm, when the last bus departs.
Timetable and frequency
Depending on the season, the Hamburg sightseeing bus has a different schedule and frequency:
- Between 1 May and 30 September, buses run from 9:25am until 4:45pm and depart every 30 minutes.
- Between 1 October and 30 April, buses run from 9:25am and 4:45pm, but in this case, depart once an hour.
