Visit the Cu Chi tunnels and learn about Vietnam's history by delving into the underground passageways and firing a real weapon.
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh. Once we're all together, we'll board a minibus and head to the WaterBus Station in Saigon. There, we'll board a luxury speedboat that will take us to the Cu Chi tunnels, the famous underground passageways built by Vietnamese guerrillas during the war.
On the boat trip on the Saigon River, you'll enjoy a small breakfast consisting of a typical dessert, fresh fruit, and water as you admire the beauty of the natural surroundings.
After an hour, we'll arrive at the Cu Chi tunnels. First, we'll watch a short documentary that will tell us all about why the Viet Cong soldiers built this network of underground passageways, what they were used for, and the living conditions inside them. We'll venture through the Vietnamese jungle until we find the secret entrances to the tunnels and make our way inside them. We'll even crawl in different sections of the tunnels! We'll embark on a complete guided tour of 2.5 to 3 hours where we'll discover the traps used to deceive the enemy and the bunkers.
We'll also visit the workshops where the handmade weapons are on display. It will be the best way to see everything that surrounds the Cu Chi tunnels firsthand!
When we leave the tunnels, we'll head to the trenches where, if you want, you can practice shooting with one of the AK-47s used by the Viet Cong.
Time for a little rest! We'll replenish our strength with some green tea and tapioca. After that, we'll head to a restaurant on the rivershore to complete the day trip with a Vietnamese lunch.
After lunch, we'll return to the speedboat and go back to Ho Chi Minh.
We'll finish the day by heading back to the departure point after a total of 6 hours.
