Our full-day tour kicks off as we pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time. Our first destination is the Cu Chi Tunnels, a remarkable underground network crafted by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence.
After a brief introductory video, you'll delve into the maze of tunnels, discovering living spaces, kitchens, hospitals, and weapon factories. You'll also see mantraps, the remnants of an American tank, and bomb craters, vivid reminders of a bygone era.
Then, it'll be time for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before we head back to Saigon. Next on the itinerary is the Notre Dame Cathedral, an architectural gem constructed by the French in the late 1870s. Marvel at its beauty and historical significance as the oldest Christian church in Vietnam. Adjacent to it, explore the General Post Office, a grand structure designed by Gustav Eiffel, echoing the French presence in the late 1800s.
Next, we'll take you to the Jade Emperor Temple, considered one of Vietnam's top Taoist temples. Inside, you'll find impressive statues, intricate carvings depicting the descent to Hell, and some interesting terrapin and tortoise sanctuaries. The choice is yours to explore the Jade Emperor Temple or opt for a visit to the War Museum or Reunification Palace.
Concluding the day, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Ben Thanh Market, a bustling Saigon landmark offering every imaginable product. Our tour concludes with a visit to a lacquer workshop, providing insights into the intricate processes of this traditional Vietnamese craft.
