Isle of Skye Tour
Fall in love with the beautiful Scottish countryside and some of its most famous natural monuments, such as Loch Ness and the Old Man of Storr, with this day trip to the Isle of Skye from Inverness.
Isle of Skye Tour
After meeting at 7:45 am at the bus station in Inverness, we'll board our bus and start our day trip to some of the prettiest places in Scotland. We'll head south for about an hour, bordering the impressive shores of Loch Ness until we reach Fort Augustus, a picturesque town on the shores of Scotland's most famous loch. Will you spot the legendary Loch Ness Monster?
Next, we'll travel to Eilean Donan Castle, standing tall on an island on Loch Duich. With its high walls and towers, it's not difficult to see why this is one of the most photographed landmarks in Scotland. If you wish, you can enter the castle (ticket not included) and discover the secrets within. Or, if you prefer, you can simply enjoy its incredible surroundings.
We'll then continue our journey to the Isle of Skye, crossing over Skye Bridge and through the town of Portree, the capital of the island. We'll take a break here, and you'll have an hour of free time to buy lunch in one of the traditional restaurants while watching the hustle and bustle of the port.
After eating, we'll head to the iconic Old Man of Storr. We'll learn the legend of this intriguing rock formation, which is one of the most famous places not just on the Isle of Skye, but in all of Scotland.
Continuing our tour, we'll visit one of the most impressive places in Skye. We'll discover Kilt Rock, a viewpoint on the cliffs that will offer us an unforgettable view of the Scottish seas. Our next stop will be Lealt Waterfall, considered to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the United Kingdom.
After discovering the natural wonders of Skye, we'll get back on the bus at set off for Inverness, arriving back at around 8 pm.
