We'll start this free tour at the Taksim Sanat Galerisi Museum, situated in Taksim Square, a popular gathering place for locals in Istanbul, renowned for its rich history and cultural events. Let's get started!
First, we'll see the Republic Monument, and from there, we'll head to the church of Hagia Triada. After admiring its surprising architecture, we'll see the emblematic Rumeli Passage.
We'll continue strolling through the Flower Passage (Çiçek Pasajı), a gallery filled with restaurants and traditional Turkish taverns. We'll also visit the European Passage and stop in front of the Church of Three Altars.
Then, we'll head to a fish market, a perfect place to experience local life in Istanbul. Next, we'll admire the facade of and visit . Along the way, we'll pass the church of St. Anthony of Padua, which will amaze you with its architecture and history.
Our tour will conclude at the foot of the iconic Galata Tower, a stone watchtower that has overlooked Istanbul since 1348 and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Bosphorus. You may choose to climb it on your own afterward!
