Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up at your hotel and set off on this day trip to the Los Haitises National Park and Cayo Levantado. Ready for an adventure in the north of the Dominican Republic?
Our approximately 3-hour journey by bus will take us to the first destination of the day: Santa Bárbara de Samaná. Once here, we'll board a boat and sail toward the keys of Los Haitises National Park.
We'll sail among the small islands and mogotes that emerge from the water, where we'll see part of the park's maritime and terrestrial ecosystems, including mangroves and bays. Did you know these mangroves and bays, known for their rich biodiversity, are home to important bird colonies? Here, we'll also see caves that have Taíno paintings and petroglyphs. You'll surely love it!
After being captivated by nature and history, we'll stop at the Cueva de la Arena, a beautiful corner next to the beach. Our route will continue by sailing toward the idyllic island of Cayo Levantado, where we'll serve a buffet-style lunch with typical specialties of Dominican cuisine. Among the dishes you'll enjoy, you'll find grilled chicken, fried fish, salads, and tropical fruits. What else could you ask for?
Finally, after enjoying free time at the beach, we'll start our journey back to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 12 hours.
