With numerous government buildings and other beautiful monuments on the banks of a picturesque lake, Putrajaya is one of Malaysia's most fascinating cities.
Half-Day Trip Details
After being picked up from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur at the designated time, you'll set off on your route to Putrajaya, located just 35 minutes from the Malaysian capital. The planned city was established in the mid-1990s as the new seat of government, due to overcrowding in the capital itself, and it's now home to most of the country's governmental ministries.
The beautiful Lake Putrajaya, where you'll make your first stop, is located in the heart of the city, where we'll hop on a reagular or traditional boat for a relaxing ride to enjoy the beautiful and scenic surroundings.
On the banks of this expansive body of water, you'll find the majestic Putra Mosque. Admire the distinct Islamic artwork of its exterior, whose geometrical shapes will leave you mesmerised. The enormous temple, constructed from rose-tinted granite and topped with a large pink dome, can house up to 15,000 people, and its minaret, at 380 feet (116 m) in height, is one of the tallest in the world.
We'll pass by the PJ Government Center and next to the mosque, we'll find the Putra Perdana, the office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Do you know how its colossal turquoise domes were built?
Finally, you'll finish your half-day tour of Putrajaya and head back to Kuala Lumpur via the Putra Bridge, one of Malaysia's most spectacular feats of engineering.
Lastly, we'll drop you back off at your hotel 4 hours after pickup.
Pickup Point
This tour includes pickup from the following hotels in Kuala Lumpur. Please note that pickup will not take place in the following hotels: Hotel Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur Chinatown, Hotel Olympic Malaysia, Hotel Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, and Hotel YWCA Kuala Lumpur. In addition, pickup in the Pudu, ChowKit, KL Sentral and Brickfields areas is not included.
Pickup is included only when the booking has a minimum of 2 people. If you only book for one person, we'll pick you up at the indicated meeting point in the document.
Itinerary Adjustments
Please note that the Putra Mosque will be closed on Fridays, and we'll only be able to see the exterior of the mosque.
In addition, the order of the visits of the itinerary could be affected by the traffic conditions of the day.
Important Info
Please note that if you have booked the activity on June 28, 2026, or on October 3 and 4, 2026, hotel pickup will not be available due to an event taking place in the city that will affect road access and traffic.
On these dates, we'll meet at the scheduled time at the main entrance of Berjaya Times Square shopping mall.
