Montreux Tour + Chaplin's World
On the day of the tour, we'll meet at the scheduled time at Rte de Berne 10, where we'll begin a drive to the outskirts of Montreux.
Following the road alongside Lake Geneva, next to the so-called Swiss Riviera, we'll reach Corsier-sur-Vevey. This village, located in the canton of Vaud, is home to Chaplin's World, a large museum dedicated to the famous actor. We'll get to explore this fascinating museum before heading to our next destination.
We'll continue our tour of Montreux by exploring the Lavaux countryside, a vast agricultural area whose impressive terraced vineyards are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After enjoying the scenery, the tour will continue with a visit to the Château de Chillon. This medieval fortress, located on the shores of Lake Geneva, has been an inspiration for several poets over the years, such as Lord Byron.
We'll then head into the center of Montreux, where you'll have two hours free to get some lunch and enjoy a stroll through the old town. One of its main attractions is the statue of Freddie Mercury beside Lake Geneva. Did you know that this statue is one of the most photographed in Switzerland?
Finally, we'll make our way back to our starting point in Lausanne, where we'll arrive between 5:15 pm and 5:45 pm.
