Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Leticia and head for the border with Brazil. Once we cross the border, just 15 minutes from Leticia, we'll arrive in the city of Tabatinga, located on the banks of the Amazon River.
In this small town, we'll enjoy a tour of its most emblematic spots. First of all, we'll visit Casa do Chocolate, where we'll find different products made with one of the most delicious and consumed foods in the world. You'll also be able to buy some of them to take home a sweet souvenir.
Next, we'll head to the shopping area of Tabatinga, where sandals are the most popular item to buy. Whether you're a shoe lover or not, the colours and shapes will captivate you.
We'll also go to the port, whose docks we can look out from to see the typical Amazonian boats. Did you know that the inhabitants of this Brazilian city live by and for this river? In fact, Tabatinga means "white mud" in Tupi, which is the main feature of the river bed.
To end the guided tour of Tabatinga, we'll visit the Comara viewpoint, an ideal place to appreciate the immensity of the Amazon River. You'll love it!
Of course, the excursion doesn't end here, as on the way to your hotel, we'll stop at Santander Park in Leticia, where thousands and thousands of colourful parrots gather every day. Quite a tropical experience!
After a 3-hour tour, we'll finish the activity and drop you off at your accommodation.
Hotel pickup
This tour includes pickup at all hotels in Leticia. However, if your accommodation is outside the urban area, you'll have to pay an additional 10USD the day of the activity.
