The Beatles Free Tour
We'll meet by the entrance arch to Chinatown at the selected time to set off on a walking tour of Liverpool, welcome to the hometown of The Beatles!
First, we'll admire the Chinese Imperial Arch, a perfect place to begin to delve into the history of The Beatles, the city and the band's relationship with China. Nearby, we'll find the majestic cathedrals of the city, the Anglican Liverpool Cathedral and the Catholic Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
Next, we'll head to the vicinity of the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and discover the relationship of this institution with the Beatles. Then, we'll continue our tour in the Georgian quarter of the city center, where we'll talk about the architecture of its buildings. We'll also walk along Hope Street to see the famous Philharmonic Pub.
The tour then takes us past the pubs where the young Beatles started their music career until we reach the famous record store, NEMS.
Finally, we'll arrive at what's known as the Bombed Out Church, where we'll take a trip back in time to discover how the city lived through the First and Second World Wars. The tour will conclude at 4:30 pm.
