At a time of your choosing, we'll meet in front of the Natural History Museum of Mozambique and set off on a thrilling art and architecture tour of Maputo. Kicking things off right from the start, we'll admire two large murals at the museum that will leave you captivated! Get ready to uncover Maputo's creative side.
From here, we'll start our tour by visiting several emblematic building facades. First, we'll hit Vila Algarve, then move on to the Greek church, the wedding palace, and many other sites, revealing their secrets along the way.
Does the name Pancho Guedes ring any bells? This architect left a significant imprint on the city of Maputo. The dragon and the Prometheus building are just two examples of the grand structures he lent the city. As we visit them, we'll uncover fascinating curiosities about the Portuguese artist.
Next up, we'll head to Mozambican capital's most famous arts and artisanry market: FEIMA. Here, we'll get to know the work of local artists and, of course, snag the perfect souvenir from Maputo.
Then, we'll return to the starting point, ending our tour after 3 hours of getting to know the capital city of Maputo.
