Be enthralled by the magnificent interior landscapes of Gran Ganaria, home to numerous charming villages, typical of the Canary Islands, on this full-day tour by bus.
This 10-hour tour begins by climbing on board a comfortable air-conditioned bus and heading to Guayadeque Ravine, one of the most spectacular cliffs of the archipelago of the Canary Islands.
While you visit this ravine type valley, your English-speaking guide will reveal the history of the first natives to live on the island, since several pre-Hispanic archaeological sites have been discovered in the area. The complex orography of Guayadeque was never an impediment to make it their home. Follow your guide into the house-caves excavated into the rock. You will be surprised to discover that the rock not only accommodates homes, but churches and even bars.
Continue the excursion by visiting an Aloe Vera farm. Learn the healing properties and benefits of this succulent plant species, used both in cooking and for cosmetics. Before reaching the green landscapes of the north of the island, you will stop along the way to explore the Firgas waterfall. This quaint landmark is flanked by beautiful tiles that pay homage to the Canary Islands and its inhabitants.
After enjoying a delicious meal in a restaurant of your picking, the bus will makes its way to the south of the island. You will pass by the famous almond trees of Tejeda and Roque Nublo, believed to be a sacred stone by the first inhabitants of the island. Next, embark on a walking tour of the village Fataga and its valley, referred to as the Valley of the Thousand Palms, which has inspired dozens of artists.
The tour comes to an end at Fataga. From here, you will be driven back to your hotel.
