Pisa is one of the most famous cities in Italy, and it owes its fame to the legendary leaning tower, one of the most photographed places in the country. On this excursion, you'll see the historic centre, and climb the tower itself!
Itinerary
From Montecatini, we'll leave on the way to Pisa, one of the most visited cities in Tuscany, and the birthplace of the great Galileo Galilei.
Once in Pisa, we'll take a guided tour of the historic centre, seeing the medieval wall and admiring the most important piazzas and monuments in the city, finally arriving at its most famous sight, the Piazza dei Miracoli.
Here we'll see the Cathedral (ticket included), a masterwork of Romanic art. And you'll see the stunning facade of St. John's Baptistry and the cemetery. This final sight is especially impressive, an authentic open-air museum.
Then with the guided tour over, we'll give you skip the line tickets to climb the leaning tower, the sight which made Pisa so famous. From above you'll get some spectacular views of the most famous square in the city.
Then we'll hit the road back to Montecatini.
