Travel to Boston, one of the oldest cities in the States, on this full day trip from New York. This forward-thinking city is a perfect mix of history, tradition, modernity and student ambience.
Boston Day Trip
Depart from New York City first thing in the morning on an air-conditioned coach and head to Boston, Massachusetts. Upon arrival, you'll live and breathe the historic sights, the revolutionary history, and the European feel of one of America's most historic cities.
The tour begins by walking along the freedom trail, 2.5 miles of pure heritage in the heart of downtown: a route which takes you past the Boston Common (the oldest park in the USA), the site of the Boston Massacre, the Old State House and Faneuil Hall, so important to the story of American independence that it's sometimes known as the "cradle of liberty".
From the historic, to the modern: "The Hub" is the beating heart of the modern city, home to some of the city's tallest buildings and a lively atmosphere any day of the week. You'll have free time for lunch at Quincy Market, then we'll cross the Charles River to the village of Cambridge, where you'll see the world famous Harvard University, as well as seeing the site of the famous Boston Tea Party, which sparked the American Revolution.
Fully immersed in the long and rich heritage of "beantown" you'll travel back to New York City in the evening, arriving at about 8 pm.
