Alquilamos 2 bicis eléctricas para recorrer Central Park y la experiencia fue super buena, es la mejor manera de ver el parque. Lo que no nos pareció tan bien fue el caos que nos encontramos a la hora de recoger las bicis. A pesar de tener las bicis reservadas con antelación, tuvimos que hacer cola junto a los que no. No estaba bien explicado: al llegar por fin al mostrador nos dijeron que antes teníamos que entrar en la aplicación, luego no encontraban nuestra reserva… mucho caos Translate this opinion into English.

We rented two electric bikes to explore Central Park and the experience was superb; it's the best way to see the park. What we didn't find so great was the chaos we encountered when picking up the bikes. Despite having pre-reserved bikes, we had to wait in line with those who hadn't. It wasn't well explained: when we finally got to the counter, they told us we had to log in to the app first, and then they couldn't find our reservation... a real mess. Opinion translated. Todo fue muy bien. El local está muy cerca de Central Park. Te dan casco y la bicicleta tiene un pequeño bolso para dejar objetos personales pero no una cesta como tal para dejar la mochila, por lo que tienes que cargar con ella. A la hora de coger las bicis había bastante gente, no obstante, la empresa lo organizó para que fuese lo más ágil posible. Hay que pagar un seguro de 5 $ por persona. Te dan una cadena para atar las bicis y las bicis en buen estado. Una pega es que se quedaron con mi DNI como fianza y no creo que esto sea legal.

Para ir al Central Park muy bien. No hay mejor opción a descubrir ese parque. Pero entonces hemos intentado a ir a Williamsburg con el bici, y el trafico era una locura. Tuvimos miedo todo el tiempo aunque siempre en cariles para bicis. Necesitás mucha confianza en todos para no sentirse en peligro permanente ;-) Los bicis bien, pero no completos...ha faltado un soporte para botella de agua en un bici, en el otro ha faltado la pata de apoyo. En los dos no había transportines.

To go to Central Park very well. There is no better option to discover that park. But then we tried to go to Williamsburg with the bike, and the traffic was crazy. We were scared all the time although always on bike lanes. You need a lot of trust in everyone so as not to feel in permanent danger ;-) The bikes are good, but not complete...a water bottle holder was missing on one bike, and the support leg was missing on the other. In both there were no carriers.

Cogimos unas bicis 2 adultos, en el formulario de Civitatis puse que necesitaba 2 sillas para niños de 4 y 5 años. Me dijeron por mail que contactara con el proveedor, no entendí esto puesto que yo hago la reserva a través de Civitatis con lo que tendríais que contestarme vosotros..pero lo hice y me dijeron que sin problema, cuando llegue me cobraros 20 dólares por cada niño (es decir lo mismo que pague por los dos adultos con las bicis) me pareció mal que no me comunicaran antes el incremento

Absolutamente recomendable. New York es una ciudad especialmente preparada para recorrer sin riesgos en bicicleta, bordeando el río Hudson, por kilómetros de carril bici con vistas espléndidas. También quiero agradecer el buen servicio ofrecido por la empresa de alquiler de bicicletas. Eran bastante buenas, y extraordinariamente amables. Incluso tuvimos un pinchazo y nos cambiaron l bicicleta en otra tienda de la misma compañía, que estaba convenientemente cerca de donde nos surgió el percance

muy recomendable, tienes hasta las 18h para devolverla, la pillamos para el central park. tener en cuenta que hay zonas en el parque que no te permiten entrar con la bici, tienes que ir camiando, pero la experiencia vale la pena. El staff de la tienda de bicis muy atento, te atienden muy rapido, te ofrecen un seguro por 1 dolar y pico, aparte te los dan cascos y un candado para dos bicis, las bicis normales, para echar el paseo ya esta bien.

Nos dieron un candado para las dos bicis que cerraba mal y difícil. Por Central Park solo se puede andar por algunos carriles (más bien pocos) y en un solo sentido. Con lo cual nuestra idea de recorrer Central Park en bici no fue exactamente así y tuvimos que hacer trayectos andando con las bicis en la mano
