At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel or the cruise terminal in Ocho Rios. From there, we'll head to downtown Ocho Rios. Having grown from a traditional fishing village to a world-renowned cruise port, this island town is one of the country's most important tourist destinations, and exploring it is no doubt one of the must-do activities in Jamaica.
First, we'll take a scenic drive through Ocho Rios, passing by its bustling markets, colourful shops, historic churches, and key cultural landmarks. We'll also see its spectacular golf course, its rainforest and hydroelectric plant. Along the way, our guide will share fascinating insights into the town's past, from colonial days to its fame in the world of reggae and tourism.
Then it will be time to swap the city for the jungle as we head into the hills to discover the Blue Hole, also known as Island Gully Falls. Nestled in the lush mountains just outside the town, this hidden gem is a natural wonder with deep turquoise pools, cascading waterfalls, and serene tropical beauty.
At the Blue Hole, you'll have time to splash, swim, and explore to your heart's content. Whether you fancy jumping into the water from the cliffs, swinging in on jungle vines, or simply relaxing in the refreshing pools, there's something for everyone. You can also venture into small caves and capture some unforgettable photos of this breathtaking spot.
After your time at the Blue Hole, we'll give you the option to stop at a local craft market, where you can browse handmade souvenirs, spices, and duty-free goods.
If you've worked up an appetite, you'll also have the chance to stop at a local restaurant and treat yourself to some authentic Jamaican cuisine. From spicy jerk chicken and grilled fish to an ice-cold Red Stripe beer, it's the perfect way to round off your experience!
Finally, after a total of 3.5 hours, we'll drop you back at your hotel or the cruise port.
