On this night tour of Osaka, you'll marvel at neon lights in the striking neighbourhoods of Shinsekai and Dotonbori, as well as taste delicious local delicacies.
Osaka Night Tour
Night falls in Osaka, one of the busiest and most lively cities in the Kansai region. Ready to experience its vibrant nightlife, we'll meet in the heart of the city and head to the first stop on our tour: the Kuromon Ichiba Market.
We'll come across a street bustling with over 500 metres of street food stalls. Meat, fish, fresh vegetables... the air will be filled with an enticing variety of aromas! Next, we'll head to the Doguyasuji Arcade to see the incredible range of Japanese cooking utensils before making our way to Shinsekai. Did you know that this neighbourhood was inspired by New York? It was built in 1912 as a symbol of Japan's movement into the future.
As we explore the area we'll admire the impressive neon lights, which provide a striking contrast with the gentle swaying of the typical Japanese paper lanterns. We'll also see a traditional Japanese bath and try some kushi-katsu (meat and fried vegetable skewers).
Our next stop will be Dotonbori, one of Osaka's most famous areas, where there is a long canal is bordered with rows of shops, restaurants and lively bars. We'll end our night tour with some takoyaki, delicious Japanese octopus fritters!
