Our guided walking tour of Oxford is the best way to get to know this British city. We'll stroll past the exteriors of the prestigious colleges that make up the University of Oxford, one of the most important universities in the world.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll kick off our guided tour of Oxford from 11 Broad Street.

First up, we'll admire a 13th-century stone tower, the last remaining piece of what was once St. Martin's Church, and we'll find out why it has become such an emblem of Oxford.

From here, we'll head to one of Oxford's colleges, Christ Church. This building houses an impressive painting collection with over 300 works by artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rubens, and Van Dyck. Plus, if you're a Harry Potter fan, you'll be excited to know it served as a filming location for some scenes in the saga.

We'll keep learning about Oxford's colleges as we pass by Lincoln College, which dates back to 1427. Did you know it was founded to be a college for "true students of theology"? We'll reveal all its secrets!

We'll also see the exteriors of the Bodleian Library, the Radcliffe Camera, and St. Mary the Virgin Church, all located in the famous Radcliffe Square. After that, we'll head over to the replica of Venice's famous Bridge of Sighs, which connects the two buildings that make up Hertford College.

We'll continue our tour with more fun facts about Oxford. For example, what does it take to study at its university? Who are the most famous students to have studied at its colleges? What's the connection between writer J.R.R. Tolkien and Oxford?

To wrap things up, we'll stroll along High Street, one of Oxford's main streets. After 1.5 hours getting to know the must-sees of England's quintessential university city, we'll head back to the starting point, where the tour will end.

Visit New College

When booking, you can choose the tour option that includes admission to New College. In this case, at the end of the guided tour of Oxford, we'll hand you your tickets and coordinate your entry to this Oxford college, where you'll have as much time as you like to explore on your own.

This way, you'll get to know one of Oxford's must-sees in detail. The cloisters, the Great Tree in the courtyard, the Chapel, and the old city wall are some of the highlights of this college, which also served as a filming location for the Harry Potter films.
