On this tour, we'll discover how the ships pass through the Miraflores Locks and observe the operation of the Panama Canal, one of the most spectacular engineering works ever made by mankind.

Panama Canal Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Panama City and head over to the Panama Canal. After a 20-minute drive, we'll arrive in Miraflores.

The Miraflores Locks are the last section of the Panama Canal before reaching the Pacific Ocean. In them, ships are lifted or lowered 16 meters (54 feet), depending on if they are coming from or going towards the Pacific.

We'll witness the passage of vessels through the locks and learn about the operation of the gates. This process takes about 30 minutes and is repeated dozens of times each day.

Afterwards, we'll give you some free time to visit the Canal Visitor Center and discover the history of its construction. Did you know that the Panama Canal was the largest engineering feat in the world until the 1930s?

We'll end the tour by dropping you back off at your hotel 4 hours after pickup.
