We'll pick you up from your hotel in Riviera Maya at 7 am and set off to the spectacular Mayan archaeological site of Tulum, located on a clifftop overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
At the feet of "The Castle" the most imposing building in Tulum, we'll appreciate the advanced Mayan knowledge in the fields of architecture and astronomy. This pre-Hispanic civilisation made incredible predictions based on the position of the stars. The Tulum astronomical observatory was used for the study of these stars, and we'll also take in the most important temples in the area. In some of these you can even see paintings from the period, as is the case with the Temple of the Frescoes.
Later we'll head to the natural grottoes of the Rio Secreto: an underground river invisible at first sight, which houses stalactites and stalagmites, with the water transforming them into tremendous natural monuments. With an expert guide, you'll put on your helmets and wetsuits to explore the most surprising of the hidden corners in these caves.
The tour returns to hotels in Riviera Maya at around 4 pm.
