On this tour of La Asunción and Pampatar, we'll explore and discover the history of both cities in Nueva Esparta. Plus, you can take a boat ride around La Restinga and relax on Los Cocos Beach.
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to the heart of the capital of the state of Nueva Esparta. Do you know what city we're talking about? La Asuncion awaits!
Once here, we'll take a fully guided tour of the city to discover the history of Venezuela. We'll make stops at several must-see spots, including Bolivar Square, where we'll find the Nueva Cadiz Museum, Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Church and the Casa de la Cultura Monseñor Nicolás Navarro.
Then, we'll visit the Basílica del Valle, where we'll learn about the importance of handmade crafts on Isla Margarita and the secrets of the Virgen del Valle. After this tour of La Asunción, we'll head to Pampatar to see San Carlos de Borromeo Castle and the Cristo del Buen Viaje Chapel.
Our next stop will be Punta Ballena Lighthouse, from where we'll have unbelievable views of the Pampatar salt flats. Next up? We'll travel to the beautiful Los Cocos Beach, where we'll delight in a traditional dish at a local restaurant.
After eating, we'll give you free time to relax on the beach before visiting La Galera Fort to enjoy a unique sunset. You'll love it!
Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel where we'll arrive after a total of 10-11 hours.
