Upon booking, you can select one of the following private day trips from Porto. They last between 9 and 10 hours and all of them include hotel pickup, minibus transport and an English-speaking guide. Below, you can see all the descriptions for each:
Braga & Guimaraes Day Trip (9 Hours)
We'll arrive in Braga after a 50-minute journey. Did you know that the city is over 2000 years old? First, we'll walk through Suoto, the main shopping street, and the Santa Barbara Garden. The next stop will be the Cathedral, the oldest in the country, then we'll head to see the symbolic Bom Jesus du Monte Sanctuary.
We'll have a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. The menu will consist of a starter, soup, a main dish, a drink, dessert and a coffee. Afterwards, we'll head to Guimaraes, Portugal's birthplace. We'll explore the castle and the San Miguel Chapel before admiring the grand facade of the Duques de Braganza Palace.

There are 2 types of lunch:
- Regional lunch: costs € 35 (US$ 40.42) for adults and is free for children under 4. Includes a regional lunch with wine, water and soft drinks.
- Premium lunch: costs € 50 (US$ 57.74) for adults, € 35 (US$ 40.42) for children aged 4-11 and is free for children under 4. Includes a lunch with selected premium DOC wines.
You can also opt for a cultural package which costs € 25 (US$ 28.87) for adults, € 17.50 (US$ 20.21) for children aged 4-13 and is free for children under 4. It includes admission to the Cathedral of Braga, a ticket for the funicular of the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus and Sanctuary of Sameiro, admission and a guided tour of the Castle and Palace of the Dukes of Bragança.
Another option is a standard tuk tuk tour for € 25 (US$ 28.87) for adults and free for children under 4, or a private tuk tuk tour for € 150 (US$ 173.24) for up to 4 people.
Duoro Region Day Trip (9.5 Hours)
We'll leave Porto and make our way to the Duoro region. As we go past hills, vineyards and forests we'll reach the first winery of the tour. There, we'll discover how the popular Port wine is made and you'll be able to do a special tasting. Then, if you wish, we'll board a rabelo boat to sail on the Douro River. We'll return to the road to reach the village of Pinhao, where we'll have lunch at a wine farm.

Coimbra & Aveiro Day Trip (10 Hours)
We'll drive to Coimbra to see its university, one of the oldest in Europe, and then wander through the old town to see the Old Cathedral, the New Cathedral, the Monastery of Santa Cruz and the Gothic Abbey of Santa Cruz. Once we have toured this iconic medieval town, we'll enjoy a typical lunch.
Our next stop will be Aveiro, a town full of canals. There, we'll delight in a 45-minute ride aboard a moliceiro boat as we see the tiled houses and the emblematic striped coloured facades.

Another option is a cultural package which costs € 35 (US$ 40.42) for adults and is free for children under 3, which includes: entrance and visit to the interior of the University of Coimbra, the São Miguel Chapel and the Joanina Library; entrance to the interior of the Santa Cruz Monastery; entrance and a guided tour of the interior of the Sé Velha.
If you'd prefer, you can opt for a family package for € 35 (US$ 40.42) for adults, € 17.50 (US$ 20.21) for children aged 3-12 and free for children under 3 which includes: a visit to the children's museum "Portugal dos Pequenitos" and a visit to the "ovos moles" sweet factory.
