Saona Island Excursion: What to Expect

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to commence our tour. We'll proceed to Bayahibe, where we'll board a catamaran bound for our destination: Saona Island, nestled within the Cotubanamá National Park.

We'll have fun and dance to traditional music throughout our cruise, enjoy lively interactions with our onboard guides, and revel in the vibrant atmosphere. With an open bar stocked with water, soft drinks, and the renowned Dominican rum, everybody is bound to have an excellent time.

Upon arrival at Saona Island, we'll have some free time to swim, unwind on the beach, and soak in the lively Dominican music. If you get hungry, you can enjoy a buffet lunch!

After the fun, we'll return to the boat for the journey back. We'll take a scenic route around the island, known for its coconut trees and beautiful golden sand. We'll also have a stop to swim in crystal-clear natural sea pools, where we might glimpse sea stars and fish, creating a colorful spectacle. Plus, you can continue enjoying the open bar onboard. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride, and don't forget to admire the landscape!

Finally, we'll reach the Bayahibe pier, from where we'll drop you back to your hotel. Anticipate arriving back at your hotel after a 9 to 12-hour adventure.

Hotel Pickup

Pickup starts at the first hotel of the route at 7:30 am, so you can have breakfast at your hotel. However, the exact pickup time for each hotel will be established in advance, except for the following:

Hotel Cortecito Inn and Punta Cana Princess: pickup will be at 7:20 am

For a more relaxed and leisurely visit to Saona Island, you can choose the Saona Island Beach Tour.

Additional Information

Please note that seeing starfish is not guaranteed as they are in their natural habitat.
We'll use both catamarans and speedboats for the trip, you can opt to go by speedboat and return by catamaran, or vice versa.
