Tour Details

During the booking process, you can choose from the following tour options:

Whale Watching + Bacardi Island

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Punta Cana and head towards the Miches pier. Halfway there, we'll make a stop to stretch our legs and get on another bus that'll take us directly to the pier. Once at the pier, we'll board a catamaran to begin our search for humpback whales in Samaná Bay!

We'll head to the humpback whale sanctuary area to learn about the behaviour of this majestic species. Did you know that they can dive up to a depth of 200 (656 ft) meters? It won't take long to watch them come to the surface performing elegant and acrobatic spins or tuning the courting songs of the humpback whales looking for a mate.

The journey through Samaná will conclude in Bacardi Island, a paradisiacal island where we'll have a delicious buffet lunch.

After lunch, we'll rest for a few minutes and sail back to the dock in Miches. After disembarking at this point, we'll take you back to your hotel in Punta Cana, where this 8.5-hour activity will come to an end.

Whale Watching + El Limon Waterfall + Bacardi Island

If you choose this option, we will first do the same humpback whale watching activity in Samana as described in the previous option.

After two and a half hours of sailing, we will return to the mainland, disembark at the Santa Barbara pier. There, a 4x4 vehicle will be waiting for us to take us to the picturesque village of El Limón, where we will meet the inhabitants of this community.

Once there, we'll go horseback riding! On this adventurous route, we'll discover the endemic species in the area and see the impressive El Limón waterfall, a 50-meter-high (156 ft) waterfall with turquoise pools of water. You can jump into the water for a refreshing swim if you'd like!

Once we finish our intrepid horse ride, we'll head back to Santa Bárbara once more to enjoy a buffet lunch comprised of fish, rice, and beans.

With renewed energy, we will board a catamaran to reach the paradisiacal islet of Bacardi Island. In this dream place, you can relax under the sun while sipping a cocktail.

Lastly, we'll head back to Punta Cana and drop you off at your hotel after a total of 11 hours.
