Northern Lights Tour
What are The Northern Lights?
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon caused by solar particles entering Earth's magnetic field and becoming ionised in the atmosphere. This ionisation gives them a green colour, though they can sometimes appear purple, red, pink, orange, or blue.
Beyond the science, this luminous phenomenon leaves everyone who witnesses it in awe, thanks to the ancient folk legends that surround it.
Northern Lights Tour
If you're looking for the best time to see the Northern Lights in Iceland, you're in the best place to do it! We'll leave Reykjavík behind and take you to an area free of light pollution, which is essential for seeing the Northern Lights.
During the tour, we'll discover how the aurora borealis is formed, a natural phenomenon that occurs almost exclusively in the polar regions and creates multi-coloured waves in the night sky. We'll also learn about all the superstitions that used to accompany these northern lights and the different types of aurorae that can appear in the sky.
In the middle of nature and surrounded by darkness, we'll admire the northern lights in all their splendour. You'll have free time to admire this phenomenon, walk under the curtain of colours, take pictures and enjoy an unforgettable moment under the starlight.
After 4 hours of incredible natural beauty, we'll bring the experience to an end back in Reykjavík.
