Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro and head out to visit a coffee plantation or fazenda. Let’s go!
First, we’ll travel into the Coffee Valley, a historic region that seems frozen in time. During the 2-hour journey, you’ll enjoy views of the rural landscape and the old 19th-century plantations, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of the era when coffee was known as the country’s “black gold.”
Upon arrival at the estate, you’ll be welcomed by your host. During the visit, you’ll learn how these historic plantations operated, what daily life was like in the 19th century, and discover details about coffee cultivation, the production process, and the importance of a product that turned Brazil into one of the world’s leading coffee exporters.
After the visit, you’ll have an hour of free time to enjoy lunch at the plantation’s restaurant. Before leaving, there’s one last essential stop: a tasting of the coffee produced right on the estate. Aromatic and prepared using traditional techniques, this cup of coffee will feel like a true immersion into the flavors of Brazilian history.
Finally, we’ll take you back to the starting point, where the tour will end after a total of 8 hours.
