On the day of the activity, we’ll depart from the location you choose when booking to embark on this dreamlike journey through Rovaniemi. Are you ready for an adventure straight out of The Polar Express?
Upon arriving at the historic Rovaniemi train station, you’ll be greeted by Santa’s friendly elves. We’ll board the cozy train cars decorated with lights and Christmas motifs. The train will begin its journey north, venturing into the dense and spectacular snow-covered forests of Lapland.
Our first stop will be at Kemijärvi Station, where we’ll get off to breathe in the crisp Arctic air. Here, we’ll enjoy an incredible fire show that will create a magical contrast against the snowy night sky, while we savor some hot glögi, the traditional Finnish Christmas drink, and delicious gingerbread cookies.
Afterward, we’ll continue our journey to Misi, one of the best spots in Lapland for viewing the Northern Lights. Along the way, the guide will share local folklore and legends, explain some basics of astronomy, and give you the best tips for photographing the Northern Lights.
On the return trip, Santa Claus will board the train so you’ll have the chance to chat with him, share your Christmas wishes, and take the best souvenir photos in an intimate setting.
Finally, we’ll say goodbye at the starting point after a 4-hour tour.
