Kingston Day Trip
Kingston Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Runaway Bay, and we'll board a bus that will take you to Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. After an hour, we'll make our first stop in Spanish Town, which was the country's capital until the 19th century.
You'll have a brief guided tour of this small town, which is full of historical buildings that perfectly portray the Georgian architecture of the time. After this guided visit, we'll get back on this coach again and continue our journey to Kingston.
When we arrive in the capital city, you'll be able to discover the most iconic and emblematic monuments and buildings. First of all, we'll visit the Beverly Hills neighbourhood, which is fittingly the most luxurious and expensive area in the city. Next, you'll see the statue of reggae legend Bob Marley, located just 984 ft (300 m) from the National Stadium. On this tour, you'll discover the relationship between the famous musician and sport. Afterwards, we'll take you to visit Emancipation Park, a large, 4.94-acre (2-hectare) green space which was opened to commemorate the end of slavery.
Our next stop will be at Devon House, the most beautiful mansion in Kingston. It belongs to millionaire George Stiebel and is a glorious example of Colonial architecture, and is considered to be one of the city's main attractions.
On the trip, we'll also give you the chance to visit the Bob Marley Museum or go shopping in Sovereign Mall, where you can also grab some lunch in one of its many restaurants.
Before making our return trip, you'll have time to visit the National Gallery of Jamaica on your own, where you'll be able to appreciate the fantastic Caribbean artwork on display.
After a total of 8 hours, we'll head back and drop you back at your hotel.
