Bosco Scoparella & Jazzo del Demonio Hiking Tour
Bosco Scoparella & Jazzo del Demonio Hiking Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet on the outskirts of Ruvo di Puglia and embark on a hiking route through the Scoparella and Jazzo del Demonio forests!
Along the way, we'll walk among the centuries-old oak trees of the National Park of Alta Murgia. This protected area in southern Italy, located in the region of Apulia, stands out for its beautiful wooded landscapes and biodiversity.
On the hiking route, we'll also stop at the famous Jazzo del Demonio, an ancient stone building used for agricultural purposes. We'll learn what exactly the building was used for and why its name refers to the devil.
Then, we'll continue the hike along different panoramic trails from which we'll observe the extensive Murgia steppe. We'll also admire the Aqueduct Canal, which transports water from Caposele, in the Campania region, to the homes of the towns of Apulia.
Finally, after a 3-hour hike, we'll conclude the hiking tour back at the meeting point.
