After picking you up from your hotel in Salalah at 8m, we'll head east to explore the area surrounding the city. The first stop of our private tour will be at the Athum Waterfalls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Sultanate of Oman.
We'll embark on a short trekking route to reach the waterfalls. On the way, we'll enjoy the lush jungle landscapes of East Salalah, characterized by tall trees and rose gardens - an amazing sight!
We'll then return to the jeep and drive to the town of Taqah, where we'll head to see its pristine beaches. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins off the coast!
Afterwards, we'll drive through the historic centre of Taqah and visit its castle. Inside this 19th century fortress, we'll discover watchtowers, the guard room, and the prison. We'll also tour some rooms with exhibitions of utensils and tools that show us the traditional Omani way of life.
Next stop... The archaeological site of Samhram! Did you know that these ruins data back to the 1st century BC and are protected by UNESCO? During the tour, we'll reveal the role this ancient city played in the incense trade route that brought so much fame to these lands.
After the visit, we'll take you to a local restaurant where you'll have an hour free to get lunch. We'll then continue our private tour to the Darbat Valley, one of the most beautiful natural parks in Oman.
With our cameras full of photos, we'll end the private tour and drop you off at your hotel at 5 pm.
