Join us on this horseback ride through the coffee plantations of Salgar to enjoy the incredible landscapes of the Antioquian Andes in a unique way. We'll explore the rich coffee heritage of the region!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at La Manchuria Ranch, located 8 kilometres (4.9 miles) from the centre of Salgar. We'll find the horses we'll be riding along our equestrian route through the coffee plantations here.
If you've never ridden a horse before, no problem! We'll explain everything you need to know so you can do it with total safety and tranquillity. You'll see that it's actually very easy.
Once we´ve explained it all, we'll have a small breakfast and start the horseback ride through the coffee plantations of Salgar, entering the coffee reserve. The route will take us uphill through native pine forests and farmland, allowing us to get in touch with the region's rich agricultural heritage.
After a 2-hour ride, we'll arrive at the top of the mountain known as The Roof of the World. We'll relax there for 1.5 hours, enjoying an outdoor picnic that includes a starter, a main course, dessert, and a drink.
With renewed energy, we'll resume the horseback ride downhill. Finally, after 5 hours of activity, we'll say goodbye at the starting point. If you want, you can stay and have a dip in the ranch's swimming pool.
