Salt Lake City Evening Bus Tour
Activity Details
The Salt Lake City night tour departs at the designated time from the Salt Palace on a comfortable double-decker bus. Can you think of a better way to take in the city all lit up as evening falls? Let's go!
The first stretch takes us past the Clark Planetarium and the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, 2 institutions dedicated to science and education. Nearby, we'll see Pioneer Park, a historic space linked to the first Mormon settlers of the 19th century.
Further along, we'll pass by Caputo's Market, where we'll enjoy a chocolate tasting, and the Greek Orthodox Church, whose Byzantine architecture stands out for its domes and ornamental details. Did you know this church reflects the presence of European immigrant communities in the city in the early 20th century?
The bus will then head to City Hall, a Victorian Romanesque building constructed in 1894 from local sandstone, where we'll enjoy a guided tour. We'll also pass by the Public Library, a contemporary work designed by architect Moshe Safdie, known for its glazed facade and bold curved layout. Getting some good photos?
We'll then make a stop at Church & State for an artisan ice cream or coffee. Finally, we'll pass by Temple Square, the spiritual heart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, before heading back to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after 1.5 hours on the road.
