Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at your downtown hotel or at the plaza in front of Abravanel Hall, home of the Utah Symphony, to begin this private tour of downtown Salt Lake City.

From here, we’ll walk through City Creek Center toward Main Street, the historic commercial and business heart of the city. As we stroll along, we’ll admire some of the oldest buildings still standing in Salt Lake City and learn how this area shaped the city’s development.

Continuing along Main Street, we’ll stop at the site where the historic Pony Express Station once stood, a key point in the history of communication in the American West. We’ll continue walking along Regent Street until we get to the brand new Museum of Utah (opening in June 2026), where we'll go inside and explore briefly once it's open. After visiting the museum, we'll also check out the area that was once the red-light district as we make our way toward State Street.

On State Street, we'll take a short bus ride to the Utah State Capitol. Inside this impressive building, we’ll take time to admire its architecture, see its artwork, and explore the free exhibitions. From the Capitol’s front steps, you’ll also enjoy beautiful views over the Salt Lake Valley, one of the best lookout points in the city.

Afterwards, we’ll continue along State Street toward Temple Square. We'll walk around the perimeter of this iconic area to see landmarks such as the Beehive House, the Lion House, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Assembly Hall, and the Conference Center. If time allows, we may even attend the Tabernacle organ recital at noon, a truly special experience.

After a total of 3 hours of exploration, the tour will conclude back at the starting point, in front of the Abravanel Hall.
