Tour Details
What ghosts and sorrowful souls wander the streets of Utah's capital? To find out, we'll meet at 239 S Main St, where our Salt Lake City ghost tour begins.
First, we'll take a short walk to the Frank E. Moss United States Courthouse. Rumor has it that inside this courthouse, completed in 1905, echoes of the stern Judge Ritter can still be heard. In fact, some claim to have spotted several ghostly apparitions here.
Our next stop will be in front of the Holiday Inn Express Salt Lake City Downtown by IHG. Perhaps such a long name is no coincidence, serving as a clever way to keep guests from realizing it's known as the haunted hotel of Salt Lake City. Numerous paranormal events have been reported throughout this property.
We'll delve into its most unsettling stories as we head toward the Capitol Theatre. According to a popular local legend, the spirit of Dickie Duffin roams this venue, which was originally built in 1913 as The Orpheum Theater. He was a 17-year-old boy who tragically died in a fire that broke out in the theater during the summer of 1949.
Our nighttime tour of Salt Lake City will then continue past the Walker Center, an imposing skyscraper with a history full of ghosts and eerie occurrences. We'll hear spine-chilling stories on our way to Whiskey Street Cocktails & Dining. Both patrons and staff at this popular spot claim to have witnessed disturbing phenomena and ghostly figures inside the bar.
Finally, after a 1-hour guided tour, we'll wrap up our Salt Lake City experience in front of the Judge Building. Today, this landmark is somberly remembered for its connection to the tragic death of Steven Christensen, a well-known local businessman killed in a 1985 car bombing.
