Experience an adventure in the Costa Rican rainforest, cruising the Sarapiquí River by boat, walking the trails of Selva Verde, and riding the rainforest aerial tram.
Once we've picked you up from your hotel, we'll head to the rainforest of Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of Costa Rica's most emblematic reserves. This green lung of San José stretches between the Caribbean and the Central Valley, covering over 47,000 hectares (116,000 acres), where an estimated 6,000 plant species and 515 bird species live side by side.
On our way through the rainforest, we'll cross Sarapiquí, a genuine natural paradise. We'll board a boat for a relaxed trip along the river, where we may be lucky enough to spot some of the typical rainforest wildlife, including monkeys, iguanas, and birds.
After the boat trip, we'll continue on foot along the private trails of the Selva Verde Eco Lodge. This walking route takes us deep into the tropical forest, accompanied by toucans, howler monkeys, and white-faced capuchins.
Once we've finished at Selva Verde, we'll recharge with a buffet lunch.
To round off a day of adventure, we'll ride the famous aerial tram through the rainforest. This forest is considered a jewel of the planet, with an extraordinary variety of ecosystems and species packed into its 475 hectares (1,173 acres). From the tram, you might spot anything from jaguars to snakes.
At the end of the trip, we'll take you back to your hotel in San José.
We'll enjoy a buffet lunch in the rainforest, serving traditional Costa Rican food: salads, two types of meat, sides, dessert, natural juices, coffee, tea, and biscuits.
