Discover the cultural and artistic heritage of one of the smallest nations in the world on this private tour of San Marino.

Discover the cultural and artistic heritage of one of the smallest nations in the world on this private tour of San Marino.

San Marino Private Tour

We'll meet at 7 pm in Porta San Francesco, an ancient guard post and one of the most emblematic places of San Marino. From here, we'll set off on a private tour to reveal the secrets of this mini-state located between Emilia-Romagna and Marche.

We'll start the route heading towards the cable car station, which will lead us to Piazza della Libertà, one of the most scenic points in town and an important gathering place. Here, we'll admire the Palazzo Pubblico, the heart of the political life and history of San Marino, as well as Basilica del Santo, the country's main temple, as it houses the relics of San Marino, the founder of this nation.

We'll then reach the Nido del Falco (Falcon's Nest) and the Piano dei Mortai (Mortar Floor), which offer breathtaking views, before heading to the First Tower, the oldest of the three fortresses perched upon the peaks of Monte Titano above the city of San Marino. Fun fact: the central part, guard post and refuge of the first inhabitants of Monte Titano date all the way back to the 11th century!

After crossing the Passo delle Streghe, one of the many viewpoints of the city, we'll come across the Second Tower, which stands on the highest peak of the mountain, about 2,460 feet (750 meters) above sea level. Next, we'll walk to Piazza Garibaldi, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, to admire the bust of the historical figure of San Marino. As an added bonus during our stroll, we'll toast with a glass of wine or a soft drink. Cheers!

The visit will end at the Passo delle Streghe after an hour and a half of exploring.
