A Unique Botanical Garden in Europe

Just 75 kilometers from the center of Madrid lies one of the most unique places in Europe: El Bosque Encantado. Located in the town of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, this spectacular botanical garden is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing and entertaining day surrounded by nature.

With this ticket, you’ll be free to explore the park’s paths and labyrinths at your own pace, decorated with more than 300 shrub sculptures of all sizes. This impressive collection, spread across 30,000 square meters (322,917 square feet), is the result of the talent of some of Europe’s leading topiary artists, who have shaped more than 500 plant species.

Dinolandia: a Journey to the Mesozoic

Can you imagine walking among prehistoric giants? During your visit, don’t miss Dinolandia, the new exhibition featuring life-sized dinosaur replicas. You’ll get to see impressive recreations of T. rex and Diplodocus in an environment designed to make learning about prehistory interactive and engaging.

It’s a magical experience that will amaze children and offers plenty of opportunities for memorable photos surrounded by creatures that lived on Earth millions of years ago.

What Can You See at El Bosque Encantado?

Does the movie Edward Scissorhands sound familiar? Visiting this park may make you feel as though you’ve stepped inside it. During your walk, you’ll follow themed routes inspired by the jungle, mythology, fairy tales, and birds.

You’ll also discover collections of cacti, bonsai trees, and aromatic plants, as well as displays of geodes and mineral formations.

Other Activities in the Park

Although it takes around 2 hours to visit El Bosque Encantado, your ticket allows you to spend the entire day in the park. You can also enjoy other activities, such as having a picnic in the designated areas. You’re welcome to bring your own food.

Did you know that one of the few natural waterfalls in the western mountains of Madrid is located within the garden grounds? It’s the Barbellido waterfall, which you can see a short distance beyond the source of the Las Casetas stream.
