It was very good. Very friendly staff. But the 40-minute journey must be from Vigo. Because from Sanxenxo it took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there (it was going very slowly). The return trip took 1 hour. It would be better if they played a recording describing what you're seeing along the way: what towns and cities are on either side, that the island is in the distance, which island is next door, etc. On the way back we saw dolphins and they warned us over the PA. They should change the office location because they send a real estate agency and it's not there.

Translate this opinion into English.

A perfect day, with a pre-lunch stroll to explore a bit of the islands. A break to recharge, surrounded by nature. And to top it all off, a swim at Rodas Beach was a must. The water was a little chilly at first, but it was worth it, and the setting was simply stunning. On the way back to Sanxenxo, we spotted dolphins near Portonovo. We left with a great feeling and are already looking forward to doing it again in the future. Opinion translated. Show original.

The boat and crew were great. However, the dock with children swimming on the beach just a few meters from the boats, without any intervention from the island's lifeguards, seemed dangerous to me! The Rodas beach bar leaves much to be desired; its urban design is completely out of step with the image the Galician government projects of a protected natural environment. Unfortunately, we were disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to friends.

Translate this opinion into English.

We went with two children and everything was great. Highly recommended both in summer for going to the beach and in the rest of the year for a day trip. They process the permit for you and it's very convenient. Mar de Ons was fantastic, as were the entire crew and the ferry. We saw dolphins on the way back, a truly amazing experience and an unforgettable memory. I would definitely do it again. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

A highly recommended activity. The visit to the Cíes Islands is ideal. A natural setting with breathtaking views. The boat that took us to the islands was very new, and we were lucky enough to see orcas in the estuary on the way. The captain brought us close to them, and we were able to see them up close—spectacular! Opinion translated. Show original.

We thought that by booking the boat with Civitatis they would "do everything for us"... but it turns out that's not the case. All they handle is the reservation and the permits from the Xunta de Galicia (Galician regional government). They didn't even reschedule the reservation the night before, and on top of that, nobody told us where to get our tickets. It turns out the booth is right at the entrance to the port of Sanxenxo, at the very beginning; if you're not looking, you won't see it. That's what happened; everyone was running back to get their tickets.

Estuvo bien.

It was fine. The only problem was that when we arrived at the departure point to buy our tickets, the ferry company told us they had changed our 11:15 tickets to 11:45, and that Civitatis should have notified us of the change, which they didn't. There was no notification on the app or by email. Luckily, we went to the ferry terminal anyway, and the staff authorized us to board and travel earlier. Otherwise, it would have been unpleasant to wait so long, since we were already there at 10:15. Everything else was fine.

No hacen reservas. Recomiendo ir a primera hora .

The island is spectacular. The transfer is nowhere near 40 minutes. It takes closer to 1.5 hours. If you catch it in Sanxenxo, it then stops in Portonovo to pick up other passengers, so choose the port you're going to carefully because there's a lot of confusion. They need a loudspeaker to explain the route and what you'll be passing through on the open sea. I found it tedious. The island is beautiful. The food is excellent at the last restaurant there, Restaurante Serafín. They don't take reservations. I recommend going first thing in the morning.

I believe there should be more surveillance, as litter and smokers are endangering the area. Restaurant and cafe prices are quite high, which means visitors bring their own food and drinks, further compromising safety. Opinion translated. Show original.
